    Now let me see, 1/2 gallon = 4 pints, = 2 Quarts = 3 Widhoek Draught.
I think I,ve got the size if the <ath is right.

Sorry guys, I still have business/domestic dramas, but I will be at Herman's place at dawn Thursday to help him commence an Ou-Trekkers journey down!

Havn't had a chance to tie flies but what the heck!

Much-needed break for me and I'm really looking forward to seeing past mates, and to meeting NEW mates!

Sorry Herman i thought you had one I think A Falkirk 1/2 gallon is a 3.... 3 will do 5/6 portions of food a pot so 4 should be enough.

Just out of interest was the shattered pot a traditional cast iron one or one of the new aluminum ones? The alu type are fantastic by the way (if you can find them) screw off legs and super light great for packing.

Yeah they are awesome, not sure where you buy them nowadays we got ours at a flea market years ago. On a good gas burner you can use it like a wok - it's great for calamari and chips. the removable legs are a bonus - it stand perfectly without them.
