    Default Yellowfish in Grahamstown erea

    I,m moving down to Grahamstown shortly and I'm looking for locations for yellowfish in the erea,would be a pleasent change from catching bluegill at Settler's Dam

    Speak to HyltonV (If he still frequents this forum) he is a resident of/student in the area.

    The fish river will hold Yellows, Barbel, Carp, Kurper, etc.

    Yep, Great Fish river is the only water in the area with yellows in it as far as I am aware. There was someone on the forum posting about the yellows in the Fish not so long ago, try the search function. Otherwise there are a few bass dams in the area and the odd trout to be had. Kenton and the coast are not far away and the Bushmans river has some decent fishing.

    get hold of Martin Davies (Rhodes Ichthyology Dept) ... he knows of lots of trout venues close to Grahamstown.

    (I lived there for 7 years!! ... loved it!)

    ... and don't forget the excellent FF in the estuaries there!!! ... Leeries, Grunter, Skipjack, etc!!
