    Lakensvlei is absolutely firing. Best to get the warm gear and go. I forgot how good this time of year actually is at Larkies if you can brave the cold.

    Nice photos from you and Roland. I don't remember seeing it this low in years. The dam is full at the moment, about 95%, the trees in your pic are now just twigs sticking out of the water. It looks awesome at the moment, I will dig out some recent photos.

    Well Andre, why dont you start us off. Tell us what flies worked and what retrieves, maybe even what depth and in which areas. Would be much appreciated!
    Around the steel no tortur'd worm shall twine, No blood of living insect stain my line;
    Let me, less cruel, cast feather'd hook, With pliant rod athwart the pebbled brook,
    Silent along the mazy margin stray, And with fur-wrought fly delude the prey

    hi guys

    being a salty ff I have had the oppertunaty to fish laakies once before, it was amazing and I would fish for trout any day if they all fight that hard with the jumps and the works.

    I was on a farm today right next to lakensvlei and unfortunatly I forgot my camera otherwise I could have posted some pics of lakies from high up, trust me when I say this, it looks STUNNING and its full to the brim. I got an offer to fish lakies next week tuesday and wednesday but work is a *****. Might just still organize something...
