Hey dave, could you explain the difference between the uv taddy and the milionares?? maybe even a step by step UV Tadddy!!!
sounds like quite the GO 2 fly!!
Cool thanks Dave. I'll see what I can come up with as far as a substitute for mink goes - I haven't seen any mink round these parts.

HI Devin,
The Millionaires Taddy is marabou tail and the rest palmered mink fur strip for the body. The U.V. Taddy is also marabou tail with U.V. CHENILLE wound from the tail up to the hook eye. Easy to tie and very effective in ALL stillwaters. Did S.B.S. when I first joined the forum. (k@k pics)

Hi Dave can you use Rabit strips instead of Mink as well?

2X questions:
do you use cross-cut mink strips?
does the pattern fish HPU (hool point up) due to the chain eyes being tied on top of the hook shank?
Nice simple searching pattern....

Hello Pops ,
Can you recall the name of the originator of the fly? - I know he's from the eastern cape area.
Do you guys fish it as a immitation of a tadpole or as a suggestive pattern?
Either way its a kickass pattern
Trout can sometimes get preoccupied with tadpoles and then its good to have an ace up your sleeve.
HI Herman,
Can't recall the originator, think they mentioned him in one of the Nedbank Guide issues, sorry!!
Don't think it immitates a tadpole, not by colour, but maybe shape in the water. The U.V. one I tie is even better, the colours are very similar. Suggestive would be about right. Even in smaller sizes (16) they are fish catching flies.
