    Dave, I honestly don't know how deep the lake is, very deep in parts is the correct answer I think. We fished along the drop-offs and in some of the shallower open-water areas (25 - 30 ft deep).

    Yep Dave, strap on the backpack and hike it. Only about an hour's climb straight uphill with a 30kg pack.
    Life is a series of trout missions with that numbing feeling in between...
