A question on the circle hooks.

I have seen that your strike is influenced when using circle hooks, in the way that you cannot strike like you normally do since the whole idea is that the fish will "catch itself". Now has this not caused you to loose a few fish on your other "normal hook" flies (like the point fly)?

I'll try and advise to the best of my ability....

When I fish a 3 fly rig and I get a take,99% of the time I don't know which fly is taken.

If I'm on form ie been fishing say 8 weeks non stop u do get to feel it a little bit better and then u know how to adapt your strike vs no strike and only tightening up.

In normal conditions I just let the fish run, tighten up and hope for the best. This setup works for me.

If I do loose some fish due to whatever reason,I have the attitude of whatever, let me try again.

    Hope it helps somewhat.

Ps.U don't have to use circles for the top dropper as u'll be fishing this fly high in the water colum.A normal scud hook is fine.I just love circles.
