I agree that perhaps if you want to CZN for yellows on the Vaal, you don't need a good line, but it is reccomended that you have good line in your arsenal. If you are on still water and need to chuck out a full line with only a few false casts, a cheapie line aint going to do it.
I would rather have a top end line on a budget rod, than a budget line on a top end rod. Even on the Vaal.
