OK, so we've booked a guide (Martin Langlands) and unfortunately we only have two day's fishing in NZ. I suppose it would be around Christchurch. I will rent all the neccessary equipment from the guide as it is too troublesome because I'm first going to Australia etc. Thanks again guys for your advice.

    Hi Guys

I eventually only managed fish two days in Canterbury. Your advice about taking a guide when fishing time is limited, was indeed good advice. Fishing was difficult due to low pressure system, wind and no insects hatching. BUT we made the most of it and got some really good fish. The surroundings and gin clear water was awesome. It was all about quality and not quantity.

I want to go back there!!!

    Cheers

A real trophy - Well done! Glad you got some fishing in. Your guide looks like a real South Island flybum! What rivers did you fish?

Well done. The guide is a good call. I learnt the hard way next time will definitely use a guide.
