What species of yellows does Witbank dam hold?

Traditionally smallscales and largescales but smallmouth were translocated a while ago and are now the dominant species.

There are plenty of smallmouth yellows in Witbank dam, and up the river too. If you catch large- or smallscale yellows there it's a fluke, the SM are predomanent.

Best is to go scout the place...you'll find the pods.

I've also caught a few SM's below the dam wall

Does this make us Witbank Yellow Aces?..

It would seem so. Mike mentioned getting a few on the dam. I found some very promising water last time I was there - I'm very keen to try it out sometime.
