    Mr Smith

I used a foam called depron. All the radio control aircraft shops sell it, quite pricey but very light. I am sure you can use any kind of hard foam.

I made grooves in 2 pieces of foam and laminated an earbud shaft between the layers. The trace runs through the tube.

I will post a few pics this weekend.

Finally got a chance to go and cast this lil guy. It casts a country mile no problemo.

Fine tuning required on whether it land hook up or down. Hook up it skips on the surface. Hook down.... it dives.

Maybe the variety will nail em?

Try bending the hook shank backwards. This could induce more movement.

Firstly!! I dont see a trailing hook. I also dont see how bending the hook will alter its movemement. Whether this one lands hook up or down, little difference in head shape. top or bottom.

Maybe just ''chisel nose it'', then you know what to expect.

Might I make a suggestion and peg your hook.

We do this on some of the offshore rigs we fish. Simple as placing a toothpick into the earbud hole. Can peg your hook up, down or anywhere in between.
In my experience, I would be inclined to peg the hook down, thereby lifting the nose slightly.

By keeping the retrieve low, you will get more of a popper type action.

    Just a thought -
