    Default Yellowfish Species in Iraq?

    Check this out...it's apparently called a "mangar" (Luciobarbus Esocinus). I reckon it's a closer relative to our largemouth yellows, than to the fabled Mahseer of India.

    These guys were part of the US troops that went to Iraq, and being fly fishermen, took their rods with. Caught a bunch of species, but this fish in particular caught my attention. It's a yellowfish species all-right...and in Iraq!?!

    So when are the local shops going to start offering guided trips to Baghdad...?
