    First you flatten your thread by spinning the bobbin anti clockwise until it lies flat.Insert a needle and split the thread.Now add your desired material,grab the "doubled" thread at the bottom and spin the lot clockwise.Proceed and wrap forward.

    Make sure you use the correct thread.Personally I use UTC 140 Denier.Works great for bigger flies.UTC 70 is better for smaller flies.Danville 6/0 is not bad either.

    Sheer 14/0 is also very good for small to very small flies.
