    Antonis came for some synthetic materials this morning so I tied a quick fly to show him what potting, get him interested.

    I have tried various methods to give more body.
    But when I have the fly in the water retrieving, it sometimes looks terrible.
    But some other flies looks even worse when they are dry, when retrieved in the water, they work well.
    Try them in the water and lets see if you are still happy with them.
    I personally think, your beautifully crafted tail, will disappear when you strip.
    So is it worth to spend all the time tying it? For show definitly, but for fishing, maybe not.

    Let me know your thoughts on it.

    HI Korrie,

    Funny that you mention this about the tail, had been wondering about that myself. Took a pic from a book Antonis bought which has some great patterns. But this ones tail bothers me, the rest of the fly I did not trim completely as I first want to check it out in water. (action)
