There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.

Maybe early Sun am, but more likely around the Wag n Bietjie / Bothaville area.

Eastco is also fishable in the middle of the canoe race Its honestly not that bad just pick a venue that has loads of islands and channels eastco, smilin thru, eendekuil, otters haunt etc.

Great to hear Eastco should be fishable, I am going to be there this weekend.

Just spoke to someone taking part in the race he says the race ends at Smilin thru so I would avoid it as a venue for Sunday.

With the flows around 35 on Monday am and the torrential downpours experienced in Meyerton yesterday and Vanderbijl/Vereeniging today, we can expect the flows to go up again tp around 50 odd.
With similar rainfall forcast for the next 3 days the flows could go even higher for the weekend.
Just a heads up, especially to the newbies. Be carefull out there.

Flows today were around 47, before the 3 - 4 hour storm hit the Vuildriehoek this afternoon. As the level above the Barrage is already quite high I would not be surprised if tomorrow's flows are between 60 & 70 cumecs.

Flows at GooseBay Canyon shows 92
Time to get the tubes out and go for a race.
Let's organise the Annual V-Boat/Kick Tube race.

Starts at Schoemansdrift and end's next to Elgro by the University's grounds.
    Big braai and prizes afterwards.
Best decorate Vboat/Tube wins a prize.

Might jusr be a fun event.

Bit like the Umzumkulu Bullswingers Club's annual raft race.

Could we arrange for a drag net to be utilized? For the ones who can't find the brakes.
