I have fished Arends at about 100 - 120 but I would most definetly not recommend that!
You should be ok up to 40cms, but I dont think its wise to go over that!
It really depends the venue you are fishing!

The solution to any problem -- work, love, money, whatever -- is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

You lucky b@st@rd, going fishing on a weekday, and that in office hours. I'm turning green here
Fishing is just my thing. I don't know what it is but it seems that i just can't get enough of it.

The "Trip to Geelvis Paradys" was K@K. Hooked a good few rocks that somehow got away, some with my fly attached... Will try again at a different venue. The Comet however was spectacular....

Clint, when the flows are 40cumecs + I personally go to either Silverstrome or Arends Nes. When the flows hit 70+ I fish Silverstrome because then you can actually fish from the bank in a few places. At 80 you can still wade Silverstrome but very slowly and carefully and make sure you stay above the last "ridge" running from the bank to the botton point of the big island.
Wade below the ridge and SWAMBO can pick you up at BLoemhof
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

    Yea I feel you Clint.
My limit for any venue is 37cms cause anything higher than this is in my personal opinion less productive (most of the time) and uncomfortable to fish. Look, I have fished in water double that (70+) but that was just to cure the yellow fever.

Yup, and also to check if the ou toppie was going to be able to handle it or was it actually to save the ou toppie if he couldn't
