    Thanx CJ.

I know that the Black would be a killer. I tried Chartreuse and Tantrim Orange as attrocors mainly.

What I would like to know is what other colours would you guys suggest?

Just for interrest sake have any of you okes tried immitating an Earthworm yet? Its the go to bait for most bait fisherman. As a fly, it could be deadly in any condition!

If there is any pics or patterns on this I would love to see it?

I fish a beady bloodworm from time to time and it does take Yellows aswell as Muddies, but one cant say that it immitates a Ertie completely!

Love to hear your thoughts on this?

Ethworms persé no,but there r some good aquatic erthworm imitations available.I struggle to see the difs, what I do know is the AE's r much pinker than it's cousins in "erties".

I poached this snap last year from one of MC's postings re international anglers flybox.Look at the pink aquatic worms to ur right.Eastco in summer has plenty of those there by that far run accross those islands

    Gertjie jou Yster....

This is what I came across on the net a while back......

    Hook: TMC400T #6
    Thread: Pink
    Underbody: Red Wool or Silk
    Rib: Monofilament
    Body: Latex

Wouldnt this fly look awesome with Epoxy?

    Kosie,

Ja u beat me to it,wool is a great option to go try out.Remember those "water wurms" r very slim in profile and they're quite long say about 10cm when straightened. They also look, behave like chongololo's ~ 1000 poot when held in ones hand.

Ur picture attached looks great though,I'm just not sure about the epoxy IMHO.

I just thought that the Epoxy on a fly like this would really let the underbody shine through. If you put an Earthworm in your hands it almost have a sort of a pearl shine to it when held in sunlight.

Thats why I thought Epoxy would come to its right on something like this. One might even mix some pearl into the Epoxy to reflect light?

    Just a thought?

Ps.In fact the epoxy is not a bad idea at all,the natural doesn't have segments.

A while back I saw a clip of a nun tying a chamois fly. Basically its a thin strip of chamois tied onto a hook. I think it will be a good earthworm imitation.

It might work, but one would have to fish a brute of a dropper to get the fly down. Interresting take though...... I like it!
