hi chris....it sounds like you guys are hooking the bigger class of shark.....its a pity noweeds isnt on here anymore.i watched him tackle one of about 10kg.he knocks his drag closed with a rock and when he hooks them,he climbs into the water and fights them.just incase anything breaks he doesnt fall into the water.....

chris...the guys drop there rods in the water and physically bear hug the fish and take the hooks out.....

they are using serious tackle...note the size of the sharks compared to the bend on the rods..

Good action shots. Look how deep they're standing - pretty hardcore!
I still wouldn't like to do that at night. Hats off to the guys that do - respect.

It sounds like that is what we hooked into Stephen....and yes, oh my word, they are strong like you cannot believe!!! No way I'm crazy enough to ever jump into the flipping water after one of those things though.

Also, the reefs we are fishing are not in that calmer Strand area (I don't want to divulge the exactly whereabouts on here because of the limited standing places) but from the leading rocky promontories it shelves off sharply into deeper water, no way you can jump in there, you'll drown for sure!
