Oord Nebo

Went to Oord Nebo this week end, and I must say, I believe that this venue probably has good water, under ordianry conditions. However after all the rain we have had this week and week end, the water was very high, discoloured and full of debris, oh ad quite cold too.

Having said that - I still had loads of fun. I caught 5 muddies on saturday and then another this morning. (pic attached) Lost at least as many in that time too. The yellows were not active in the shallows - (not so shallow actually as the water was about 50-60cumecs)

The few other ff men on the water didnt catch anything except a few muddies too.

I will definitely return to this venue in the future and hopefully will have more opportunity to catch fish under more "normal" flows and colour.

Sorry but dont wana be rude if i felt like that about fishing my rods would be lying on a pownshop shelf i love fishing and can never learn enough from fellow anglers and mates its not always just catching fish mate.

Hey only having some fun.....You learn so much on this Forum. I am still wet behind the ears, but drying out quick as they stick out a bit. As you said, the good water is up from the venue. Some big fish there. Strip a NZ rig through the rapids weighted GRHE with PTN Flashback and you can have some good fun. Caught my PB there in December.

I am off to Oord Nebo for the weekend. Has anyone been there lately?
