The Worthog Beer Fest
Its that Worthog beer fest time of the year again, where we just have to go and drink copius volumes of finely crafted beer. I've forced OMR to join me, and we'll meet up with Tye2 at the venue. This year there are exactly 34 independent breweries, 70 different beers to taste and 1541 litres in total. I'm pleased to say my Dad has brewed for the festival this year, looking forward to his lager. Having done a quick scan of the menu, there are lots of belgian style beers this year - which in my humble opinion is absolutely fantastic!I'll try and remember the camera this year.

If I understand it correctly, the brewers are allocated 1 ticket per 3 litres of beer supplied. So the tickets are hard to come by unless you know a brewer, or you know someone who knows a brewer. No SAB, No Nam Breweries etc. Sometimes the get the SAB training institute to brew some stuff.

I had an opportunity for tickets, being a member of worthogs, but decided to pass it up this year.... mebbe next year. I also have some ideas re my own brewing.... if they work I'll probably 'exhibit' at next year's festival
