    Hi Guys

I for one am very interested in rock and surf angling. The ever present wind can sometimes make casting very difficult in the strand area. It is specially at this time you must get out on the reefs and target kob where normally it will be nearly impossible to cast a fly, you can now have the satisfaction of still enjoying a good days fishing. Philip and MC fished the reefs the past weekend and hooked into some big fish they were unable to turn on these big rods. I don't think its a matter of choosing, but of using the right tool for the job at that moment. I enjoy all manner of fishing but yes my preference is always fly fishing. So maybe through this thread we can learn enough to start out and enjoy this part of fishing.

    Cheers

Well done Pierre. The right tool for the job is the key! Thanks for starting this thread, I think it is a brilliant idea!

    Hi Guys

You know what I would really like is to have the opportunity to join someone knowledgeable on a rock and surf outing and get the feel for it before rushing out and buying tackle. So if any of you guys have a spare rod and want a fishing partner for a day then you know who to call

    Cheers
