    Just kidding. The best i got, was from Darryl, and it is the Davey knot, or figure of eight knot. This is an absolute must, for tying on any flies on droppers. frikkin brilliant i tell you.
    GGY mentioned the Davy knot on Flytalk in 2006 - http://www.flytalk.co.za/forum/showt...ht=davy&page=5

    I just happened to take notice and start using it
    “Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bullshit, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute - I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you” ― Lemmy Kilmister

    The best tip is still my 3wt GLX tip - delicate, accurate, sensitive...designed in the early '90s but still works best

    To buy a 10' 6# rather than a 9' 5# for trout and yellows

    If your fishing for yellows and your not geting fish, try slimmer and lighter. As well as they could be feeding higher up in the water column (move your control fly to the point)
    Around the steel no tortur'd worm shall twine, No blood of living insect stain my line;
    Let me, less cruel, cast feather'd hook, With pliant rod athwart the pebbled brook,
    Silent along the mazy margin stray, And with fur-wrought fly delude the prey

    Using unwaxed dental floss instead of thread for spinning deer hair on bigger flys like bass bugs.That stuff is super strong, no worries about snapping it.
