Cool, but I need an additional R100 per fly danger pay for my eyes!

Seeing Dean later today, will gladly convey the message, hehe!

    Hey Mike,

I like those photos you posted. What I find interesting is that it's tied upside down with the legs on the top. That will most certainly make the fly easier to tie as one won't be cramped for space under the hook. The gills on the side are also interesting. Going to try this fly on the Vaal, see how long the legs last.

Thinking about it I think the rest of the fly should be pretty durable with the latex body. Also the use of partridge hackle as a substitute for the legs should increase durability. Will post a pic when I got it done.

Passed your message onto Dean, he laughed and reckons the Bulls are going to get thumped! not getting involved in this one!

    Regards

Fly Fanatic, you're spot on. I don't fish that fly. Firstly pheasant tail, I find, very brittle and avoid if for anything other than bodies for PTN's. And then I use standard hackle fibre for the tail, that lasts! Also tying in the legs cans be a finicky business and time consuming.

But hey, it's a nice fly, good to have one or two in your box to impress your mates with!

Thanks for the comments, regards Paul
    Hi All

    Awesome tie ... well done.

Inspiration for us lazy f-wits to up our game ... why ?

Because it will catch more fish ?

Nope ... just because we can and we take pride in what we create with feathers and fur.

Again well done, thanks for posting the SBS.
