    Hi all

THis is my first post. I am an ex South African in NZ. I fished the NZ Flyfishing champs in march this year. We fished the Wanganui river. Most awsome river. Had never fished it before. My first session I got 4 fish ove 40cm and my last session got 20 counters and 15 non counters in 3 hours. Biggest fish was a 53 cm brown and about 7 rainbows over 40 cm. You will really enjoy fishing this river.

Hi Garth, welcome to the site.

Mike mentioned you unconventional stream method - I'd love to see it first hand sometime.

    Hi Garth

Great to see you on the site. Lets ensure that we get some fishing reports on here so that we have the guys drooling. It is looking good for this weekend, just give me a shout and let me know what day suits.

Hehe - good call Garth - there may be some Protea fishermen reading this. Can't give the competition a heads up.

Garth is busy co-ordinating the controllers for the worlds so will not have access to reply right now. Yes he is the guide who assisted the team before the comp started.

Up to now, it does not look like he has done too good a job.
