    Chris

The Vaal and Orange, presents such fantastic opportunities to fish so many different types of waters.

Little side streams as per the photo, can let you fish "small streams" for small and large fish.
Bigger runs, offers bigger water etc.

Because it runs thru so many different sub strata, if offers so many fishing possibilities.

    Agreed Korrie

up here on the Orange you get to fish the same stretch at 370cumecs and 5 hours later at 90 cumecs, that opens up quite a lot of other fishing opertunities aswell, it also keeps the river very clean, almost no rocksnot etc.

Ek dink, ek moet so trippie reel soontoe.

jy is welkom, sal nice wees.

    Chris,

With the flows from Vanderkloof at over 2500 tons, there will be no fishing for quite some time. The waterlevel is about 15m higher on some stretches of our property. With the Vaal in full flood, the lower Orange will be a raging torrent for quite some time. On the upside, the river should fish well in the late summer/early fall once everything setles down.

15m. WOW, that is a lot of area, extra being covered in water.

Quite a lot Korrie, here's two pics to show you what I mean, aboth were taken in 70 to 100 cumec flows. The water level at the moment is about 1 - 2 meters below the road on the bridge in the first pic! None of the Islands on the second pic is visible and you can see only some of the treetops on some of the islands. I will try to get some photos over the weekend and post it.
