    Gerrit, out of interest I visited Ed Herbst this afternoon for a couple of hours and one of the things I asked him about was the history of fly articulation. He couldn't give an exact date but said it has been around for at least a hundred years and was first developed for salmon flies. I am always amazed at the amount of information that man has stored in his head!

    It may well be so but "my" research led to Dave in the 70's. If it was done 100 years ago, good on those fellas! The idea rocks.
