i would like to thank Chris and Klaas for the great hosting and guiding of the weekends trip, the food and atmosphere was phenominal. would also like to thank all the staff involved Like Johan And his wife at Vendutikop and Spyker and Elsa for the rest of the weekend.

The fishing must be some of the toughest i have endured due to high flows and bad vizibility of the water. Never the less i had a strike and unfortunately missed that one, But ja Like judge klaas said, Lifetime sentence for that one (STRAFDOP) Boetie.

Ive definately learnt a lot on presentation and so on as myself and bryan probably had 90% of our casts so perfect you can almost see that strike as it hits the water.

Met some really good people this weekend and will definately be back for a smallmouth as well as a LM trip

    Well Done Guys

    Thanks for evrything

    OK. Here's some pics.

Upstream and then downstream of Havenga Bridge.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

Here are some of the 'baitfish' pics; G, I literally picked these up in less than a minute, most alive, excl. the Largie. They were lying on dry gravel and rocks, water disappeared below them...

These were all released after a quick photo shoot.

PS: I now believe that the Orange below Vanderkloof is a DANGEROUS place, nothing like the Vaal.
