The only fishing liscence SOME Post Offices know about is the Salt Water liscence.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

I'm also a bit sceptical about the post office. I know in coastal areas it's usually easy to obtain one for the province you're in, but I'm not sure about getting one for different provinces.

So, no way of getting licenses for 3 different provinces at one place then? Possibly any of the fly shops around Pta/Joburg?

The Post Offices are supposed to have . I got mine through Ubujane Fishing; the shop is closed and they run an online one now but dont have licences.

Here is a whole list contacts for you: Dirk Boshoff is the best guy to contact, I think he stays in Benoni and supplies the fishing shops with permit books.

Can't blame them for not having it. I suppose someone has to supply them with it.

i'll check at my post office next chance i get and see what they say...

surely if you really want to figure out which post offices have them, you could do a search on the web. i speak with a guy called Benjamen Blignaut when looking for a package that's taking too long etc...his e-mail is Ben.Blignaut@postoffice.co.za maybe he could assist or at least point you in the right direction

If you find a fishing license at the Rustenburg post office I'll buy it off you for a thousand bucks. If you ask for it your reply will be "a what?". Who in his right mind will drive from Rtb to Mmabatho for a fishing license?
Fishing is just my thing. I don't know what it is but it seems that i just can't get enough of it.
