My best on nymph is 4.5Kg and best on dry is 4.2Kg. I did post a pick of the one long time ago.

My friend, Carl, caught a monster about 2years ago that maxed out a 5.5Kg net scale. He showed me pics but unfortunately his not on the forum....and his left the country since. Fish was caught on a huge chartruese copper-john. I'll see if I still have the pic on my PC somewhere.

know GGY has got a 5.1 kg
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day

I've hit the 4KG mark twice...yet to crack one bigger.
Every time I catch a big fish I seem to be on my ace...or I'm the one with the camera. I only have a pic of one of the 4KG fish...see below.
Was caught CZN nymphing some years ago just after dark. (And I was on my own again...PS: Check out the water clarity!!!). Biggest on dry has been a 3.8kg fish.

Then here's some other big boys I know about...

Keith Wallington with a beautiful 4.8KG fish...caught CZN:

Gary Botha caught this fish in Orkney...can't recall what the exact weight was, but it was 5kg plus (I think, and it looks that way too):

My mate Armand with a 4KG fish...

My other mate Paolo with his best, the fish weighed 3.6kg on the scale, but when we checked and calibrated the scale it was actually a true 3.8KG fish:

Tim Rolston with a 5.1KG fish...caught on his first trip to the Vaal for short-line nymphing:

Jeez manne! Julle is almal tipiese vissermanne. My grootste gele se oe was so groot soos pierings!

Do you okes know that a Kilogram (kg) and Pound (lb) is not the same thing... Most of these fish on here definately do not look their weight!

My profile pic's Yellow only pulled the scale to 2.2kg! This was on an accurate scale. In the 'net scale' it was over 3kg...

You talking about my pics? Can't be serious...
All these fish were weighed with calibrated scales. True weights, no BS.
