What a tough day... Lots of fish around but... Only landed one and lost 3 between to two of us.
    They were extremely skittish!
Can see the end of season fake fly spotting skills have matured. We had the perfect drifts over a couple of fish only to see them rise, inspect the fly and bolt for the nearest cover.
What tippet where you fishing? and size of fly?
should be 8x and #20 or smaller Dry and nymph.

Hahaha I don`t onw 8x nor #20 flies. But maybe i should invest in some then.

My exact setup I fished most(80%) of the time was 7x and size 14 to 18 klinks, either black or olive, with 18 soft hackle, zak or grhe about a 3ft behind.
Varied the dry dropper with single dries(Klinks, Rab, grey spider) and teams nymphs(zak, ptn, grhe) as well.

There we loads of black mayflies on the water from about 11am. They were more or less size 12-14. Quite fun sitting and watching the trout jump clear of the water smashing the one that venture to close to the surface.
So tell me.... How Big's yours?

Wet Wading = Your skin get wet when you wade.
Waders = Your skin stays dry when you wade....

Are you guys fishing with waders or are you wet wading? :-)

We are still wet wading, although the water is starting to get noticeably chilly down here. I did see one of our esteemed local guides sporting a pair of lycra tights under his shorts the other day. I assume it was for insulation and to reduce drag.

Drag, yes, but I think it is drag of a different kind.

Fished SB - Molenaars Upper yesterday.
Hard day on the water. Great weather conditions, slight up or downstream wind.

We saw 4 fish in total, 2 were rising in slow pools, gave us the finger...
Spooked the third after walking over rock, was hiding under rock I was walking over.

Then finally caught the 4th in fast water between two pools. Good looking fish.
