hope the winter rain come sooner than later this year for you guys.

Conrad's sculpting sweet looking crabs and chasing musselcrackers on fly ,and after a serious bout of bass bugging I'm chasing yellows again on a very regular basis . You could say we're doing well

    Good Morning

What would your go to fly's be for the vaal in the Parys area this weekend?

Where would you recomend for a day's fishing on a drive out from a guest house in town?
    Dry lines don't catch fish!

Did anyone fish the vaal today (sat 25th)? Keen on going there tomorrow. How did things go? I'm very sceptical about this winter fishing thing for smallies but I must give it a try...

Did not fish, had some afternoon rain and thunderstorms in the area.

If you do fish, fish deeper water (waist deep and deeper); recently had good success on the caddis control fly and an orange hot-spot brassie.
